Bledsoe County Youth Soccer Association

Age Groups

U6

The main focus of this age is to have fun. The coaches encourage the kids to move toward the correct goal, make corner kicks, and not touch the ball with their hands.

U8

This is a level up from U6, where we start enforcing the rules more and rules like throwing the ball in are added.

U10

U10 is where kids start playing positions (offense and defense). This is also the first level where we have goalies, punting, and offsides (being past the last defender of the opposing team). Rules are enforced, along with more rules about physical contact.

U12

This is a miniature version of the real game. Stricter physical contact rules are called.

U14

The kids move up to a bigger field, add more positions, learn how to effectively control the ball, and make plays.

U19

Our oldest age group plays soccer with 45 minute halves on the biggest field. Sliding is not allowed at any age, including this one. Shoving is not allowed, and physical contact is kept to a minimum.
